My Thirties!

The last decade has taught me more than any other period of my life did. I cant be more thankful for all that i experienced, for all that I gained and learnt from all that I lost. Here’s my poetic tribute to my thirties, a decade that bought the most impact, challenges and emotional rollercoasters in my life

from wearing headphones and going for a run to, waking up in the morning and saying “Alexa play bhajans”

no time for friends or fancy parties, social life was restricted to play dates with park aunties !

the torturous labor pains and sleepless nights, oh God those were tough!

my biggest revelation were my two children and the only ones I call my true love

took a plunge into entrepreneurship. dared to dream and learnt the most

rose and fell, savings in the account went down in a haste

and the only thing grew consistently was the size of my waist!

Understood myself and God better, walking the path of dharma is really what matters

dreams of far away travels and exotic adventures did not come true, yet the heart whispered “all the happiness is within and around you”

twenties you made me dream of the ideal woman I would be, thirties cleared some of the illusions set inside me

I was fatter yet i felt prettier, I had less money yet i felt richer

someone special once said to me “God tests its toughest soldiers”

thirties’ you sure made me tough – thankful for all the amazing highs and the lowest lows!

So ready for any test the next decade will throw!
